Look how creative At-home Dads can be.

I made a friend today!

His name is Coleman. He's a little younger than I am, but he's still pretty cool. He has a funny cry that's not really a cry at all. And he's way too well behaved. When I was his age, I made sure my mom and dad knew when I wasn't happy. I guess I still do that, only a little louder these days. Anyway, to each his own, and I am glad that I have a new friend. Plus, his Dad makes (buys) some really good brownies. Mmm, mmm, goooood!

I said Mama!

I said Mama for the first time on Tuesday. We were at the grocery store and I was saying "Nana," when my mom leaned in close and said "Not Nana, Mama." I looked her right in the eye and thought to myself, Ok, she's waited long enough.

OOPS!

So, I accidentally hit this girl on the head today. It was no big deal, or anything. She didn't even cry. Actually, it didn't even look like she felt it. I think she might have no sense of pain. That, or she has superpowers.

Learning Piano

I learned the piano today. I don't know what the big deal is. It's not like it was hard or anything. Some agent asked if he could represent me, but I'm not really into that right now. I said "Dude, I'm still trying to get a hang of this walking thing...not to mention, my dad still has to wipe my bottom for me, so just the logistics of going on tour would be a nightmare." So I took his $50 bucks and said "peace out."

Blue October Sky

Today was a beautiful day. The air was crisp, the sun shone brilliantly, and the azure sky let my gaze go on for miles. Mom, Dad, and I thought we'd enjoy the day by rolling around in the fresh-cut grass behind our house. To Mom's ire, I actually sampled a bit of the grass - take it from me, it's better to enjoy it by sight, rather than by taste.

Hi there! I'm Ryan Jacob Garza, but you can call me RJ, or Ryan - whichever you prefer. My mom and dad have a ton of names for me anyway (I seriously think my dad wakes up each morning and decides to call me something different for that day).

I am fairly new to blogging, and...well, the world, honestly. I arrived on the scene about eleven months ago from the time that this was written - born in Bethesda, MD. Yeah, same hospital the President goes to, uh huh. Here I am just a few minutes after coming out of...well, you know.

This is what my mom looked like after the whole ordeal of pushing me out of her body. I guess they tried to get her to put some stuff back in, but it doesn't look like that went very well.

Here's my dad holding me for the first time. I think he did a pretty good job of not looking terrified.

And my aunt Shawna was there too. Can you believe how good she looks after driving 6 hours through the night and about 1 hour of sleep?

Here is a family photo with my Grandpa Scott and Grandma Karlyn in there too. Everyone was so happy to see me, but to tell you the truth, it was all very overwhelming, and all I wanted to do was sleep.

So that's just a very basic introduction. My life is really a roller coaster ride (as you can see).

Dad and me on a roller coaster

Everyday I learn something new about the world and myself. Some things are pretty darn amazing, others are down right terrifying; but from here on out I'll try to keep you updated as best I can on what's going on in my life. If I start keeping a record now, historians of the future should have little room for debate over when and how I accomplished all the great things I plan on doing.
